Too bad it's not the Saenger in New Orleans.

Gee, Tom, thanks for skipping the city you commemorated so lovingly in song after song. It's not as if we need artists, etc. to come here and demonstrate to the rest of the world that we're not dead or anything. :-P

(To be fair, I'm not sure we have a venue of exactly the right size. However, I don't do Houston. Mobile is a possibility, but I'll probably slack off and fret about it until all the tickets are gone.)

Yeah, I'd LOVE for him to be going to NOLA, I was really hoping he would. It would have been an ideal reason for me to fly home for a visit. He may not have been able to secure a venue, who knows.

I don't really like doing Houston either, but it's the closest, and there's no other city on the list that I'm just dying to visit for the hell of it.

I'd love to get back to Dallas, but the restaurants are so improbably good there that I know I'd end up spending way too much money.

I may actually do Dallas instead, it's farther away, but I have more friends there that I could probably get crash space with. I'll have to consider the extra gas vs. a hotel room and see which is cheaper. If I end up going to Dallas, what are your top 3 restaurant recommendations there? It's likely I'll only be able to swing one dinner on the trip, but it's good to have options since I'll have a friend with me. :)

He's got not one, but TWO shows in Alabama. I lived in Mobile for 3 years and have no clue why anybody would want to go there on purpose.

This will explain why, as only Tom Waits can.
