I don't actually expect anyone to use this, but hey, it's worth a shot. Maybe I have some anonymous, ridiculously rich fan out there who would like to give me thousands of dollars. A girl can dream, right?

I got my final bill from the hospital for my broken ankle today. $1,024.15
On top of the fact that I haven't been able to work for 3 weeks. I KNOW I won't be ready to run behind the bar at the end of this coming week, so I'm going to try to earn my keep by doing something at least part time that is slower paced, like hostessing. If they'll let me. I have my doubts. If not, I'm looking for a new job, even for my temporarily gimpy state, now that I can walk-ish without a crutch in the splint boot.

My 27th birthday is this coming Wednesday. Despite the violence, I wanted to go home for my birthday. That isn't going to happen. I'll be home for Halloween come hell or high water. But if anyone wants to send me just a dollar or two in celebration, which will unfortunately go towards helping me with bills, I would greatly appreciate it.

BEFORE you pay anything, go to the payment office at the hospital and negotiate your bill down. You can do that especially since you've been out of work and once you've gotten a discount, make a payment plan. ALL hospitals will work with you if you ask. A little fact that most peeps don't know about. They can't do crap as long as you make your payments! Have a better weekend baby, and try and have some fun on your birthday!

Sent you a couple of bucks.. Times are tough here too! Definitely do apply for charity care at the hospital! You can get a seriously major cut in the bill, but they won't tell you about it. You have to ask and ask and ask again and keep asking until you piss them off.
